Rovinj

Rovinj is a georgeous little town of rich past and beautiful present, a true pearl of the Istrian peninsula. The protected historical old town center that dates from the period between the 3rd and 5th century a.d. is the most miraculous and interesting part of Rovinj. It is wonderful to experience this ancient part of town with its numerous romanesque-gothic, rennissance, baroque and neoclassical windows, balconies, stairways and terraces. Walking through the narrow streets and squares, you will be fascinated by thin and tall buildings closely wound together that lean against each other on the slope under St. Euphemia church, once protected by medieval city walls that are still partly preserved today.
