Thomas G. Ehr is the General Manager of MTV in the territory of the former Yugoslavia and Albania. Prior to his appointment this year, he served in London for six years as Vice President, MTV Networks Europe and Executive Director, MTV Europe Foundation, an educational charity which he founded in 2003 to promote human rights and social issues across MTV's European channels; he is now the Chairman of its Board of Trustees.  He is also Executive Producer of MTV EXIT, a campaign across MTV and other media in Europe and Asia to raise awareness and increase prevention of human trafficking and exploitation: in that role he executive produced documentaries presented by Angelina Jolie and Lucy Liu, among others; music videos with Radiohead and The Killers; and music events and MTV programs with R.E.M., Placebo, Thievery Corporation, Ian Brown, Stereo MCs, and many other international and regional artists.

From 2001-2003, Tom ran several projects for the US Agency for International Development in Serbia, working with the Serbian government and private sector to assist in the development of Serbia’s economic and commercial laws and policies. Before that, he directed similar USAID projects for USAID in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, worked with Maestro Luciano Pavarotti and others from the music world on charity concerts and projects, and was a Senior Attorney and international trade negotiator for the US Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C. He is originally from Detroit, Michigan, USA

Chris Matyszczyk

Chris Matyszczyk advises major global corporations and content creation and marketing through his California-based company, Howard Raucous.

Though he speaks with a strange English accent, his blood is all Polish (at least, that's what his mother told him).

After studying at the University of Cambridge and the London School of Economics, Chris worked in various ad agencies in London, winning many of the awards that you're supposed to.

He then moved to Singapore to be a creative director at Batey Ads. After Singapore, he became Executive Creative Director of Ammirati Puris Lintas in Warsaw and well as Regional Creative Director for Central and Eastern Europe. The agency won the first ever international gold awards for Poland, at the London International Advertising Awards.

Chris then moved to the US, where he was Executive Creative Director of innovative San Francisco-based integrated agency, Highway One, launching, amongst other things, ebooks software for Microsoft. The agency also shocked many with its highly controversial work for the LA Comedy Store.

Then he was enticed to New York to be EVP Executive Creative Director for Publicis Dialog and Publicis Groupe USA, in the days when David Droga was worldwide creative director. While at Publicis, work for clients such as Brookstone and Amstel Light pushed the very boundaries of what was possible in media.

Chris has now returned to the more civilized atmosphere of the Bay Area. As well as advising such companies as Coke and AIG Direct, he has expanded his content creation portfolio by creating the blog Technically Incorrect for CNET (owned by CBS).

The blog attracts more than 1million page view per month. Which is strange, given that Chris doesn't even have a clue how to format Microsoft Word.

In his spare time, he co-presents a nationally syndicated sports radio show on Sunday nights for Sports Byline USA, plays golf and tries to explain to people why he never got married.

He really doesn't Twitter all that much.

Javier Ramirez Banares is Senior consultant at Innovation Media Consulting Group based in Madrid. Innovation is an international media consultancy with offices all over the world and more than 70 professionals with specialists’ knowledge and hands-on expertise.

Javier works for client companies in Europe, United States and Latin America, and focuses on management organization, multimedia development and integration, ad sales and marketing restructuring and strategy definition and implementation.

Before joining Innovation for he worked at Recoletos, the leading company in specialized media in Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets. Recoletos was a part of Pearsons plc, one of the world leading groups in publishing and media.

 
Starting out as reporter in a business daily, Javier worked in all business areas of the group with positions as ad sales director, CEO of branch in Argentina, marketing manager and general manager finalizing his career in Recoletos as Vice President International. He successfully led the company’s internationalization through the acquisition and restructuring of several media operations in Latin America and the launching of Rumbo, a network of newspapers for the Hispanic population in Texas.

He is the Board member of VOCES, NGO that promotes the public awareness of the UN Millenium Development Goals among opinion leaders in the world of culture and member of Instituto de Arte Contemporaneo, an association for the promotion of Contemporary Art and for the implementation of deontological practices within the businesses.
